Lancaster, CA. November 24, 2025 -- As temperatures begin to drop, the City of Lancaster is inviting residents to help keep our community warm by participating in the Annual Winter Coat Drive. This annual effort provides a simple and meaningful way for residents to give back and help ensure that every neighbor has the warmth they need this winter season.
Donations of gently used coats and sweaters for children and adults are being accepted now through December. Community members can drop off their items at two convenient locations:
Lancaster City Hall: 44933 Fern Avenue, Lancaster, CA 93534
Lancaster Community Center: 44611 Yucca Avenue, Lancaster, CA 93534
Donations will be accepted Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Fridays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. After collection, all donated coats will be professionally cleaned before being distributed to local families in need later this winter.
"Lancaster is a City that cares for one another," said Mayor R. Rex Parris. "A warm coat might seem small, but for someone struggling this season, it can make all the difference. This drive is a reminder that together, we can create a better tomorrow through simple acts of kindness."
Residents are encouraged to spread the word and participate in the drive by donating, volunteering, or sharing with friends and neighbors.
