Only Indiana hospital system recognized FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Oct. 27, 2026 - Parkview Health has been named to the 2026 Fortune Best Workplaces in Health Care™ List, making its first appearance in the annual ranking produced by Fortune in cooperation with Great Place To Work®. Parkview ranked No. 50 out of the 50 large employers - those with more than 1,000 employees - recognized by Fortune, and was the only Indiana hospital system to make the list. "At Parkview, we're continually working to build one of the nation's best workplaces for our more than 20,000 co-workers," said Dena Jacquay, chief administrative officer, Parkview Health. "By soliciting feedback from our co-workers and acting on it, we've created a culture that supports them in both their professional and personal lives. As we welcome new hospitals into Parkview and grow into new communities, we're proud to provide one of the best working environments in the nation." The Best Workplaces in Health Care award is based on analysis of survey responses from nearly 222,000 employees at Great Place To Work Certified™ companies in the health care industry. Parkview was first certified as a Great Place to Work in 2025 and was recently recertified, as announced earlier this month. Inclusion on the Best Workplaces in Health Care list is highly competitive. Great Place To Work, the global authority on workplace culture, determines its lists using its proprietary Trust Index™ Survey to evaluate and certify thousands of organizations in America's largest ongoing annual workforce study, based on more than 1.3 million survey responses and data from companies representing more than 7.3 million employees. Survey responses reflect a comprehensive picture of the workplace experience. Honorees were selected based on their ability to offer positive outcomes for employees regardless of job role, work status or other demographic factors. Fortune recognizes 50 large employers and 50 small/medium employers with fewer than 1,000 employees. Parkview provides numerous benefits for co-workers, including its quarterly Lifestyle Benefit stipend; flexible pay options; childcare support via matching funds, emergency care options and an innovative Tri-share+ program for eligible families; tuition support; an in-house MyWell-Being department that supports co-worker physical and mental health; and opportunities to be active in the community via volunteer time off and free admission to seasonal community events, among others. Parkview's voluntary retention rate remains above 90% and higher than national benchmarks in the healthcare industry. "Parkview has built a workforce of talented healthcare professionals who are fully engaged in their roles," said Dr. Ray Dusman, president, physician and clinical enterprise, Parkview Health. "Parkview's culture of excellence supports our co-workers in their careers, creating consistency and longevity in our facilities and empowering them to deliver the compassionate, patient-focused care to the families they serve." Aside from its recent Great Place to Work recertification, Parkview was named the No. 8 overall Inspiring Place to Work in North America and listed among the global Top 100; named a Best-in-State Employer by Forbes for five consecutive years; and ranked as a top employer for healthcare workers by both Forbes and Newsweek.
