IAA Forges New Market Alliance in El Salvador

IAA's new Market Alliance in El Salvador marks the latest milestone in our ongoing international growth strategy. This relationship with Matus International establishes an auction center in San Salvador and brings local support and services to buyers across Central America.

What Is IAA's Market Alliance Program?

IAA's Market Alliance program connects international buyers to our global digital marketplace through a network of trusted local businesses. Market Alliance members operate auction centers in their respective countries, providing hands-on assistance with registration, bidding, payment, transportation and shipping. In markets where no auction center exists, licensed brokers with intimate knowledge of local markets are available to help buyers participate in IAA auctions.

A New Alliance in El Salvador

Matus International's new San Salvador auction center will support buyers at every stage of the purchasing journey, from registration and bidding through logistics and delivery.

"We are pleased to join as part of the IAA Market Alliance network in El Salvador and support customers as they navigate the vehicle purchasing process," said Allan Matus, Chief Executive Officer of Matus International. "We look forward to helping customers throughout every stage of the purchasing journey, from registration and bidding through logistics and delivery, while providing the local support they value."

Part of a Broader Global Push

Our expansion into El Salvador is the latest step in IAA's accelerating international reach. Recent Market Alliance launches include:

The El Salvador alliance also builds on the foundation IAA first established in the country in 2022, demonstrating our ability to deepen our presence as well as extend it.

"Further establishing our Market Alliance network in El Salvador reflects our commitment to meeting customers where they do business and strengthening access to our global marketplace," said David Rymarz, Senior Vice President and Head of IAA Marketplace. "As buyer demand across Central America continues to grow, expanding our reach in the region allows us to provide customers with greater access to our inventory, tools and services, while delivering the local support needed to help them participate in our auctions with confidence."

What It Means for Buyers

For buyers in El Salvador and across Central America, the new auction center means more than just access to inventory. It also provides a local team fluent in regional market conditions, ready to guide customers from initial registration through final delivery. Matus International will serve as an end-to-end resource, helping buyers navigate IAA's digital platform, coordinate post-purchase logistics, and get the most out of their experience.

IAA's marketplace offers access to a wide selection of used, salvage and damaged vehicles via live digital auctions, fixed-price purchasing and pre-auction previews, all backed by a network of over 200 locations across North America, the UK and Australia.
