SUMTER, S.C., July 8, 2026 - Pinnacle Financial Partners, which merged with Synovus bank earlier this year, has hired Ricky Poole as a financial advisor in its Sumter office. Poole brings more than 15 years of banking experience, joining the firm after serving as financial sales manager at First Citizens Bank.
"Ricky has spent his career helping people make sound financial decisions and building lasting relationships in this community," said Stephen Williamson, market executive. "He understands that good advice starts with listening, and he'll be a trusted resource for clients as they work toward their financial goals."
In Poole's role with Pinnacle, he will provide comprehensive financial, investment and wealth management guidance to local businesses and clients. Before joining First Citizens, he held leadership positions with 1st Franklin Financial, including regional operations director and branch manager.
Poole is active in the local community and is a member of the Greater Sumter Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and has served on the Sumter Habitat for Humanity board and development committee. He also volunteers with Hope Harvest Food Bank and Junior Achievement. Poole is a student at the South Carolina Bankers School at the Darla Moore School of Business.
