Euro futures fell from weekly highs as dollar caught a bid.

Todd Colvin examines recent price action in Euro futures, which opened near weekly highs of 1.1560 before suffering a midday reversal down to 1.1520 as the U.S. Dollar strengthened on rising Middle East uncertainty and higher oil prices. Colvin notes a slight uptick in currency volatility on the CVOL Index over recent sessions. Looking ahead, traders are preparing for key economic catalysts, including the July employment report, the New York Fed 1-year inflation gauge, and the Jackson Hole Economic Symposium in late August.
