HARDIN COUNTY, IOWA - U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), Chairman of the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, and U.S. Rep. Ashley Hinson (R-Iowa) joined local law enforcement leaders from Hardin County today for a roundtable discussion in Eldora. The group discussed how the Hardin County Sheriff's Office is benefiting from the $3,054,209 federal grant Grassley and Hinson helped secure to modernize technology and strengthen emergency services in the region.
"Congresswoman Hinson and I worked closely together to get these funds to Iowa law enforcement to save lives and support emergency services," Grassley said. "I'm glad to see how our strong partnership has delivered for Iowans in Hardin County."
"I'm very happy that these resources are being deployed to make sure Hardin County law enforcement can communicate safely. This investment makes a big impact in the local community and will help save lives. I'm proud to have worked with Sheriff McDaniel and Senator Grassley to get this funding across the finish line," Hinson said.
