MDOT cleaning northern Lower Peninsula bascule bridges in May

GAYLORD, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be cleaning the following bridge decks of sand and salt to prevent corrosion:

• The US-31 bascule bridge over the Manistee Riverin Manistee on Monday and Tuesday, May 19 - 20,
• The US-31 bascule bridge over the Pine River Channelin Charlevoix on Wednesday, May 21, and
• The US-23 bascule bridge over the Cheboygan Riverin Cheboygan on Thursday, May 22.

Traffic restrictions:
