Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed Congressman Gabe Evans' House Resolution formally condemning the June 1, 2025 antisemitic terrorist attack in Boulder, Colorado. The resolution passed with a bipartisan vote.
"As a former police officer and Army veteran of the Global War on Terror, I know how Colorado's radical leftists leaders and laws prioritize illegal immigrants over public safety - allowing antisemitic terrorists like Mohammed Sabry Soliman to strike. The passing of my resolution ensures we condemn all acts of antisemitism and affirms that the free and open collaboration between state and local law enforcement with their federal counterparts is key in preventing future attacks like this," said Congressman Evans.

In addition to condemning the attack, the resolution also calls for enhanced, commonsense vetting procedures and stresses the importance of communication between local law enforcement and their federal counterparts in sanctuary states like Colorado.
Soliman was an illegal immigrant residing in Colorado Springs, granted a valid driver's license by the state DMV, and had multiple contacts with law enforcement prior to the attack - most notably when he tried to buy a gun and failed a background check. Colorado's refusal to allow local law enforcement to share basic information with federal immigration authorities highlights the danger of sanctuary policies and is a contributing factor to the state's rising crime rates which now rank second in the nation. Without Colorado's sanctuary state laws, this attack could have been prevented.
