UWO gymnastics seeking sixth national title; women's basketball returns to Final Four

The success of our student-athletes and athletics programs continues to elevate the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh's reputation and visibility nationwide-and this week offers another powerful example.

UW-Oshkosh gymnastics is pursuing its sixth national title, while women's basketball returns to the Final Four with its sights on a Division III championship.

  • Gymnastics is seeking its sixth overall National Collegiate Gymnastics Association title and fourth in the past five years when it travels to Cortland, New York for championship competition March 20. The Titans, who placed third at last year's national meet, earned NCGA championships in 1989, 2007, 2022, 2023 and 2024. On March 7 in Winona, Minnesota, the team won its sixth straight WIAC Championship/National Collegiate Gymnastics Association West Regional, shattering the Division III scoring mark with 195.175 points.   • The women's basketball team celebrated victories in Sweet 16 and Elite 8 competition hosted at Oshkosh and advances to its second straight Final Four competition.
