Legal Affairs Tuesday September 8, 2026

Georgia College & State University is committed to providing a safe environment for minors who participate in university-affiliated programs and activities. Any GCSU department, office, employee, student organization or third-party group planning a camp, clinic, workshop, competition, event or other activity involving non-enrolled minors (17 years of age and younger) must comply with the university's Protection of Minors Policy before the activity is advertised or conducted.

Before You Begin

A designated GCSU employee serving as the Program Administrator must:

  • Plan well in advance of their anticipated start date.
  • Complete annual Program Administrator Training through GeorgiaVIEW.
  • Register the program and obtain required approvals.
  • Ensure required screenings and training are completed for staff and volunteers.
  • Implement all applicable Protection of Minors requirements.

Programs that have not completed required registration, approval, training, and screening processes may not be advertised or conducted.

Annual Renewal

All programs serving minors, including returning programs, must complete the registration and approval process each school year.

Resources and Assistance

Program Administrators should review the Protection of Minors One-Stop Website for program requirements, registration instructions and compliance resources.
