Brown v. Board of Education NHP hosts New Citizen Ceremony, September 25, 2025

TOPEKA, Kan. - The National Park Service (NPS) hosted a New Citizen Ceremony, September 25, 2025, in collaboration with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the U.S. District Courts. The event was held in the auditorium at Brown v. Board of Education National Historical Park, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A total of 55 new citizens from several countries participated in the ceremony earlier this morning. Park staff could not be more honored and proud to host this naturalization ceremony and help to bring communities together to celebrate the induction of new US citizens.


Brown v. Board of Education National Historical Park tells the story of the U.S. Supreme Court decision that declared racial segregation in public schools unconstitutional. The site is located at 1515 SE Monroe Street in Topeka, Kansas and is free of charge.
