Chinese Ambassador to The Gambia Liu Jin Meets with Hon.Speaker Fabakary Tombong Jatta

On January 16, H.E.Ambassador Liu Jin met with Hon. Speaker Fabakary Tombong Jattain the National Assembly of The Gambia.

H.E. Ambassador Liu Jin said that in September 2024, President Xi Jinping proposed six-point proposition on the joint endeavor to advance modernization and Ten Partnership Actionsat the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. The two sides should work together to implement the important consensus of the two heads of state and the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, promote practical cooperation in various fields including exchanges between legislative bodies, and consolidate and deepen bilateral relations.

Hon. Speaker Jatta said that China has always been a true partner of The Gambia in promoting transformation and achieving development, and thanked China for its support and assistance to The Gambia's economic and social development. The National Assembly of The Gambia firmly commits to the one-China principle and is willing to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the two legislative bodies with China.
