22nd Annual Ritmo Latino Festival Brings Music, Dance, and Culture to Cary May 9

Cary, N.C. - The vibrant rhythms, colors, and flavors of Latin America will fill downtown Cary on Saturday, May 9, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. as the 22nd annual Ritmo Latino Festival returns for a full day of cultural celebration. Produced by Diamante Arts & Cultural Center in partnership with the Town of Cary, this free, family-friendly event invites the community to experience the richness and diversity of Latino cultures.

One of the Triangle's premier cultural events, Ritmo Latino Festival showcases live music, traditional dance, visual arts, and authentic cuisine from across Latin America and the Caribbean. This year's entertainment lineup features high-energy performances, including crowd-favorite Zumba, Orquesta K'Che, Los Guanajuatenses, Letal Rock Band, and more.

Additionally, attendees can explore a lively Artist Village featuring local and regional artisans, a food court with a variety of Latin American cuisine, and the KidZone with interactive activities including soccer, arts and crafts, and hands-on cultural experiences.

"Ritmo Latino Festival is a joyful celebration of culture, community, and connection," said Lizette Cruz Watko, founder of The Diamante Arts & Cultural Center. "It brings people together through music, dance, food, and shared experiences that highlight the diversity and vibrancy of Latino communities in North Carolina."

The festival will be held at 316 N. Academy St. at Town Hall Campus. To accommodate attendee safety, roads will be closed starting at 6 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, and will reopen at 9 p.m. Closures include Academy Street from Chapel Hill Road to the train tracks, Wilkinson from Academy Street to Herb Young Community Center, and Ambassador Loop from Academy Street to Page-Walker Arts & History Center.

Getting to the festival is easy with free parking available throughout downtown Cary, including the Town Hall Parking Deck and the new Cedar Street Parking Deck. For a full list of downtown parking locations and a map, visit carync.gov/parking.

The GoCary bus depot is directly across the train tracks from the event. Riders can hop on any GoCary route to reach downtown Cary and find themselves steps away from Ritmo Latino. The GoCary Downtown Loop will detour all day Saturday, May 9; the Town Hall Parking Deck bus stop will be closed. Riders should use the temporary stop at Cary Depot North Platform.
