Erie, PA - Erie County Executive, Brenton Davis, will present a transformational grant award of $170,000 to Fairview Township for the purchase of the Lake Shore Fire Department ambulance (Unit 507). The ownership of the ambulance will then be transferred to West County Paramedic Service. West County Paramedic Service provides Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) services to ten municipalities in Western Erie County. This grant will ensure the continued delivery of BLS services to the residents of Fairview Township.

This investment, made possible by the Erie County Fire and EMS Transformational Grant Fund using Gaming Funds allotted to Erie County, seeks to ensure the sustainability of regional EMS providers.

Erie County Executive Davis is committed to making investments in EMS to ensure that every resident of Erie County has an ambulance when and where they need it.
