James Biever Police-Community Alliance Announces 2026 Scholarship Recipients

The James Biever Police-Community Alliance is proud to announce the recipients of its 2026 James Biever Criminal Justice Award, recognizing outstanding high school seniors who are passionate about pursuing careers in criminal justice and public service.

This year, three students have each been awarded a $1,000 scholarship to support their pursuit of higher education and future careers in the criminal justice field.

Vera Bierman, a 2026 graduate of Cedar Crest High School, will attend Penn State Harrisburg, where she plans to major in Forensic Science with a minor in Criminology.

Margaret Harrison, a 2026 graduate of Our Lady of the Cross School, will attend DeSales University, where she plans to study Criminal Justice.

Luke Risser, a 2026 graduate of Palmyra Area High School, will attend York College of Pennsylvania, where he plans to major in Criminology.

The James Biever Criminal Justice Award was established to support students pursuing careers in criminal justice, law enforcement, forensic science, and related fields. Through this annual scholarship program, the James Biever Police-Community Alliance seeks to invest in the next generation of professionals while honoring the values of service, integrity, and community engagement.

"We look forward to seeing the impact they will make through their studies and future careers."

The James Biever Police-Community Alliance congratulates Vera, Margaret, and Luke on this well-deserved recognition and wishes them every success as they begin their journey toward careers dedicated to justice, service, and strengthening their communities.
