Rep. Crockett's Statement on Kristi Noem's Firing

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Today, Rep. Jasmine Crockett released the following statement: "Kristi Noem will go down as the worst DHS Secretary in American history. She has been completely complicit in the chaos unfolding at ICE, where deaths in custody have increased by 200% under her so-called leadership.

Frankly, she should've been gone a long time ago - and she will not be missed.

Trump's deportation agenda has always been about cruelty and the weaponization of fear. So replacing Kristi Noem alone is not enough. Until we see actual change to the policies, procedures, and accountability within ICE, this firing is only performative."
