NEEDHAM, MA - January 9, 2025. Tripadvisor Group today announced a collaboration with Perplexity, an AI-powered answer engine, designed to improve how travelers plan their journeys. This partnership integrates Tripadvisor Group's extensive travel resources - including Tripadvisor's one billion reviews and contributions, AI-generated summaries, and Viator's 300,000+ travel experiences - with Perplexity's advanced search capabilities. Together, they aim to provide personalized, actionable recommendations to simplify and enrich the trip-planning process.
By leveraging Tripadvisor Group's presence in 43 global markets, support for 22 languages, and more than 11 million business listings, alongside Perplexity's chatbot-style search engine, this partnership is designed to meet evolving user demands for faster, more direct answers. The initial features, now live on Perplexity.com and soon on their mobile apps, provide an enhanced, intuitive experience for discovering, planning, and optimizing travel and experiences.
