“Attama“ Programme Commences Under Clean Sri Lanka Initiative

The "Attama" programme, conducted under the Clean Sri Lanka initiative to promote community participation and collective action towards creating cleaner, more orderly and environmentally friendly communities, commenced today (08 Aug).

Coinciding with the main programme, Deputy Minister of Defence Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd) participated in the "Attama" programme held in Dehiwala.

The initiative seeks to strengthen community participation and foster coordinated efforts among government institutions, the Tri-Forces, Police, Coast Guard and the public in addressing local environmental and community needs.

Officials from the Dehiwala and Ratmalana Divisional Secretariats, members of the Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia Municipal Council, representatives of government institutions, personnel of the Tri-Forces, Coast Guard and Police, as well as local residents, participated in the programme.
