Partner Daniel Kaufman commented on the FTC's new "Click-to-Cancel" rule in articles for the Wall Street Journal and MarketWatch. In "Ending Subscriptions Will Get Easier with New 'Click-to-Cancel' Rule," published Oct. 16, 2024, in The Wall Street Journal, Kaufman states that the new regulation could be a strong weapon for the FTC to punish companies over their marketing claims. In the MarketWatch article titled "The FTC is Making it Easy to Cancel Subscriptions. You Still Need to Remember One Thing," also published Oct. 16, 2024, he says that the new rule will probably face legal challenges due to concerns about it being too broad.
