April 14, 2026 - Norristown, PA
Lieutenant Governor Austin Davis launched the statewide "Putting More Money Back in Your Pockets" tour in Montgomery County, highlighting more than $450 million in tax relief already delivered to Pennsylvanians - with more on the way in 2026.
Lt. Gov. Davis kicked off the tour at the Senior Adult Activities Center (SAAC) of Montgomery County where a clinic was held to help older Pennsylvanians apply for the expanded Property Tax/Rent Rebate (PTRR) Program. The event also offered personal income tax filing assistance, including for the new Working Pennsylvanians Tax Credit (WPTC). This year, the WPTC is expected to deliver nearly $193 million in relief to almost 1 million residents, with eligible filers receiving up to $805 back.
"Last year the Shapiro-Davis Administration delivered more than $450 million in relief to seniors and working families," said Lt. Gov. Davis. "This year it will be even more when we add more than $193 million in expected relief through the new Working Pennsylvanians Tax Credit and an estimated $36 million saved through the new student loan interest deduction. Governor Shapiro and I are targeting relief to the Pennsylvanians who need it most - working families, small businesses and seniors. At this moment when so many Pennsylvanians are struggling to get by, the Shapiro-Davis Administration is putting more money back in your pockets."
