BRAMPTON, ON (September 17, 2025) - The City of Brampton is joining communities across Ontario in the third annual Saved By the Beep campaign, a province-wide initiative dedicated to raising awareness about fire safety and the life-saving importance of working smoke alarms.
On Sunday, September 28, 2025, Ontarians are encouraged to participate in Test Your Smoke Alarm Day by testing their smoke alarms and reviewing their home fire escape plans.
Brampton Fire & Emergency Services, alongside community partners, will hold a free public educational event to mark the day. The event will feature fire safety displays, interactive activities and opportunities to learn how to keep your family safe.
Test Your Smoke Alarm Day 2025

Time: 10 am to 2 pm
Location: Save Max Sports Centre, 1495 Sandalwood Pkwy. E., Brampton, ON
The Saved By the Beep campaign is led by the Office of the Fire Marshal (OFM) in partnership with municipalities, community stakeholders, agencies and sponsors. This annual campaign reinforces the life-saving role of smoke alarms and the importance of fire safety at home.
Brampton Fire & Emergency Services is committed to supporting this initiative and will continue to educate residents through programs like the Home Safe Home Inspection program and the Spring into Safety campaign, which complement the goals of Saved By the Beep.
