Inga Ruginienė Congratulated the New Prime Minister of Latvia and the Government

Prime Minister Inga Ruginienė congratulated the newly sworn-in Government of the Republic of Latvia, led by Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs.

"Lithuania and Latvia are bound not only by close partnership and friendship, but also by a shared historical experience and a deep understanding of the value of freedom, sovereignty, and democracy. ln today's increasingly uncertain geopolitical environment, the unity and close cooperation of the Baltic States are more important than ever," the Prime Minister said in her congratulatory letter.

The message also notes that Lithuania highly values Latvia's strong contribution to regional security and the close coordination within NATO and the Baltic Council of Ministers. Prime Minister I. Ruginienė expressed confidence that Lithuania and Latvia will continue to work closely together to strengthen the security, resilience, and prosperity of the region and of Europe as a whole, while steadfast support for Ukraine and the defense of democratic values will remain among the countries' shared priorities.
