Tanja Chargois, RN, Named Colleague of the Month at Decatur Memorial Hospital

Tanja Chargois, RN, in Radiation Oncology at Decatur Memorial Hospital, has been named October Colleague of the Month.

Chargois, who joined Memorial Health in April 2021, was recognized for taking on additional responsibilities to transfer patient information into the Radiation Oncology charting system and build charts for upcoming consultations. This work helps ensure the care team has the information needed to support each patient's treatment.

She also monitors laboratory results, hormone injections and special instructions to help patients remain on track for safe, timely radiation treatments. Her detailed notes provide a reliable record of each patient's progress and help answer questions about plans of care.

"Tanja is always professional and brings a smile and quick-witted humor," wrote her nominator. "She almost always has her patients laughing at some point during weekly status checks. Her lighthearted quips also promote a pleasant camaraderie among our colleagues."
