Outage required for Avista customers in Blanchard and Oldtown

Spokane, Washington, September 2, 2025: Approximately 427 Avista electric customers in the community of Blanchard and Oldtown will experience a planned power outage on Thursday, September 11. The planned outage will begin at 10:00 p.m. on September 11 and end at 6:00 a.m. on September 12. Impacted customers will be notified.

During this time, Avista crews will be conducting maintenance on transmission lines in the area. Traffic control will be in place on Highway 41. No road closures are expected during this outage. Avista is continually updating equipment and infrastructure to increase the safety and reliability of its system.
