Lewisville Animal Shelter "Pet of the Week" - Batman
In an effort to spread the word about animal adoption and to help these loving animals find fur-ever homes, the City of Lewisville will feature a Pet of the Week each week in this media packet, available for adoption at the Gene Carey Animal Shelter and Adoption Center, 995 E. Valley Ridge.
This week's featured pet is Batman, a 3-year-old male Siberian Husky mix. If his name alone doesn't spark your interest, maybe his ice-blue eyes will do the trick. Batman is the dog Gotham deserves, but also you! He is loving and playful and ready for a forever home. He came into the shelter with another dog, so we know he is very friendly and playful. Like any good superhero, Batman has a high activity level. He is vaccinated, wormed, microchipped, heartworm negative, had flea treatment applied, and sterilized.
Be the envy of the neighborhood, after all, how many people can say they are the paw-rents of Batman? Anyone interested in Batman can submit an application through the "Adoptable Pets" page at cityoflewisville.com. Just click on his picture and follow the unique URL to begin an online adoption application. Once the application has been submitted, Lewisville Animal Services will call the applicant on or before the next business day. While on the phone and if approved, staff will counsel the potential adoption and will schedule an appointment for a visit. Applications will be responded to in the order they are received.
ADOPTION SPECIAL - ALL DOGS OVER 20 POUNDS AND CATS
The Animal Shelter is currently running an adoption special through the end of December. The shelter is waiving adoption fees for all dogs weighing more than 20 pounds and for all cats. The regular adoption fee is $90.
