Edison International Commits $1 Million to Support California Wildfire Relief Efforts

In response to the devastating, wind-driven wildfires sweeping through Southern California, Edison International, through its foundation or direct contributions, commits $1 million to community-based organizations to support relief and restoration efforts.

The $1 million contribution will begin with a donation of $350,000, reflecting:

  • $150,000 to the American Red Cross

  • Up to $100,000 to match contributions made by Edison employees to three local nonprofits: Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, Pasadena Humane and YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles

  • $100,000 to a fund administered by America's Charities to assist impacted employees

"We are grateful for the outpouring of support and generosity from our community during this challenging time," said Celina Santiago, chief mission advancement officer of YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles. "Edison International's contribution will support our statewide efforts to offer temporary evacuation sites, shelter and access to essential food supplies to our communities in need."

From providing disaster relief to offering emergency shelters for animals and pets, Edison International's nonprofit partners have been actively providing aid to help communities rebuild and recover.

"Our hearts go out to all the families and communities affected by these wildfires," said Pedro J. Pizarro, president and CEO of Edison International. "We are proud to support nonprofits that work tirelessly to provide critical services to our impacted customers and employees."

Edison International stands alongside other Southern California companies that have taken action to support our communities during this difficult time, demonstrating the strength and resilience of our region.
