Sink your teeth into Overwatch's BlizzCon Reveals!

From the reveal of Doctrine as Hero 54, to a Mythic thank you to all our players, and even a clue as to who Hero 55 may be, this year's Overwatch experience at BlizzCon is all about celebrating our community!

We can't have a BlizzCon without a new Overwatch Hero, or should we say, villain? Doctrine, a vampire-inspired Support Hero and ally of Doomfist, is out of the shadows and already in your hands with his limited-time Hero Trial, starting now! His true debut in Season 5 pushes the Reign of Talon story toward its exciting conclusion.

Also featured in today's BlizzCon Opening Ceremony is the new Escort map, Watchpoint: Grímsvötn, an Icelandic volcano prison and the setting of Doomfist and Doctrine's reconnection.

But that's not all. Major Sombra and Roadhog reworks are coming, as well as the long-awaited continuation of Dokiwatch. We'll keep the BlizzCon festivities going with the latest LE SSERAFIM encore collab, crown the next victor of the Overwatch World Cup from 8 finalists, host a live YOASOBI performance, provide a Mythic thank-you Gift, and more throughout the celebration weekend!

Here's a more detailed look at everything announced and coming for Overwatch:

• Doctrine, Overwatch's next Support Hero, is playable now during his limited-time Hero Trial through September 14 before officially joining the roster in Season 5.
• Doctrine brings Overwatch's ultimate vampire fantasy to Support, manipulating lifeforce with his scepter, infusions, and bat-like drones.
• The Reign of Talon reaches its conclusion in Season 5, closing out Overwatch's first year-long story arc. From there, we reveal a clue about where 2027 is headed with a Hero 55 tease.
• A new Escort map, Watchpoint: Grímsvötn, takes the fight to a remote Icelandic prison, where Doomfist breaks Doctrine free and sets the final chapter in motion.
• Sombra and Roadhog receive major Hero reworks in Season 5, including Sombra moving from Damage into the Support role.
• Play one game after the Opening Ceremony to earn a BlizzCon Mythic Gift, redeemable for one eligible complete Mythic bundle from Seasons 1-14.
• The Overwatch World Cup reaches its exciting climax as the world's top eight teams compete for the ultimate championship live from BlizzCon.
• Musical performances by Overwatch fans LE SSERAFIM (closing ceremony) and YOASOBI (Overwatch World Cup Day 2)!
• Overwatch Spotlight returns in February 2027, where we'll share a roadmap for the year ahead!

QuestWatch!

Forget team comps, this fight calls for character sheets! QuestWatch brings Overwatch to the tabletop for its first-ever live TTRPG one-shot, with Matt Mercer as Game Master Cassidy guiding Sombra (Carolina Ravassa), Symmetra (Anjali Bhimani), Reinhardt (Darin DePaul), and Vendetta (Chiara Preziosi) through a new non-canon adventure. Tune in live at 12 pm PT tomorrow, September 13, then stick around as the party rolls for something bigger with an online charity auction supporting Make-A-Wish.

BlizzCon wouldn't be the same without the Overwatch community showing up, so we've got a Mythic Gift to say thanks to our amazing community. Play one game after the Opening Ceremony to earn a Mythic Voucher, then choose one eligible complete Mythic bundle from Seasons 1-14 to make your own. You have until October 5 to earn and redeem your voucher, so the hardest part might just be picking a favorite!
