Leander Wins Prestigious Planning Award!
8/11/2025 - The City of Leander is proud to announce that the Leander Old Town Master Plan has received the Silver Award in Urban Design from the American Planning Association (APA).
The award will be officially presented this October at the APA Texas Chapter Conference in College Station.
The plan was led by Robin Griffin, Executive Director of Development Services, and Michael Chenausky, Project Manager, whose leadership guided a successful partnership with Kimley Horn, a leading planning and design consulting firm. It reflects a collaborative effort across multiple City departments-including Planning & Development Services, Engineering, Public Works, Economic Development, and Communication-and was strengthened by valuable feedback from the City Council and Planning and Zoning Commission throughout its development and adoption.
