Governor Braun Travels Across Indiana This Week, Highlights Family Businesses, Energy Innovation, Working with Local Leaders
INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Governor Mike Braun this week visited communities across Indiana to meet with local leaders, recognize public servants, highlight Indiana's energy future and support long-term economic and community development.

On Monday, Governor Braun visited Ozark Fisheries in Martinsville, where he toured the company's hatchery, production ponds and shipping facilities. Ozark Fisheries is a fourth-generation family-owned and operated fish hatchery that raises goldfish, koi and other species, creating jobs in Martinsville.
Later Monday, Governor Braun met with the Statehouse's summer intern class. The Governor thanked the interns for their work this summer and encouraged them to stay involved in making Indiana better.
On Tuesday, Governor Braun joined employees of the Indiana Department of Environmental Management for IDEM's 40th anniversary celebration. Governor Braun thanked IDEM employees for their work serving Hoosiers and protecting Indiana's air, land and water.
Later Tuesday, Governor Braun attended the Governor's Reception, where he awarded Hoosiers whose leadership and service have positively impacted communities across Indiana. The event was hosted by the Indiana Civil Rights Commission in partnership with the Indiana Black Expo.
On Wednesday, Governor Braun participated in a fireside chat at IBJ Media's Nuclear Energy Forum in Indianapolis, where state, business and energy leaders discussed Indiana's opportunity to lead in advanced nuclear energy and meet growing electricity demand. Governor Braun discussed Indiana's all-of-the-above energy strategy, the need for reliable and affordable power, and the role advanced nuclear technology can play in supporting Indiana's manufacturing base, data centers, AI investment and long-term economic growth.

On Thursday, Governor Braun visited Franklin College, where he met with Franklin College President Kerry Prather and Franklin Mayor Steve Barnett to discuss how the college is strengthening Indiana's talent pipeline and plans for Innovation Park at Franklin College.
The visit focused on Franklin College's efforts to support innovation, entrepreneurship and local economic development through partnerships with the City of Franklin and regional leaders.
