Great Tulsa Clean-Up Kicks Off Monthlong Volunteer Event

The Great Tulsa Clean-Up is in full swing, with continued opportunities to sign up to volunteer during the monthlong effort to remove waste and debris from public spaces all over the city.

Cleanups run through April 30 and volunteers can sign up for any day that works best for them.

This year's event expands to 17 new locations along Route 66 in recognition of the centennial of the Mother Road. Cleanup supplies are provided and participants are encouraged to wear closed-toe shoes and bring water. Additionally, volunteers will receive a free, limited edition t-shirt, for their participation.

So far, nearly 500 people from 40 teams have signed up to clean at 22 locations. More volunteers and teams are encouraged to sign up.
