Governor Polis Appoints Melanie S. Morgan to the San Miguel County Court in the 7th Judicial District
DENVER - Today, Governor Polis appointed Melanie S. Morgan to the San Miguel County Court in the 7th Judicial District. This appointment fills the vacancy created by the resignation of the Honorable Sean K. Murphy, and is effective immediately.
Ms. Morgan is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Morgan Pilate LLC, a position she has held since 2007. Her practice consists of criminal defense and civil matters. Previously, she was the Founder at the Law Office of Melanie S. Morgan (2001-2007) and Associate Attorney at the Law Office of Joseph D. Johnson, Chtd. (1993-2001). Ms Morgan earned her B.A. from Kansas State University in 1989 and her J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1993.
