Route 36 - Alternate County Roads

Due to a slide and the full closure of Route 36, alternate county roads are open for travel.

For those traveling from the Bridgeville area, the following alternate routes are available:

• Kneeland Rd. and Redwood House Rd. to Route 36

• Kneeland Rd. to Freshwater Rd. to Myrtle Ave. in Freshwater

• Alderpoint Rd. to Redwood Dr. in Garberville

If you have a CB radio:

• Use Channel 16 when traveling on Redwood House Rd.

• Use Channel 19 when traveling on Alderpoint Rd.

Please drive with caution and patience, as these routes are experiencing heavier traffic volumes due to the Route 36 closure. Allow yourself extra time to reach your destination and stay alert to changing road conditions.
