Since 2016, author Robert Blaemire has focused on writing, channeling his political insight into books.

Robert Blaemire, B.A. '71, M.A. '75, wrote a new book, "The Athlete." The story is about a young Amish man who is discovered as potentially the greatest natural baseball athlete ever. The story follows his rise, aided by a disgraced former major leaguer, while navigating the challenges of fame and protection.

Blaemire is a seasoned American political strategist, consultant and author whose career spans over five decades. He began his political career with Senator Birch Bayh (D-IN), rising to Executive Assistant and Political Director over 13 years. He then transitioned into political technology, founding Blaemire Communications in 1991. His extensive consulting experience includes work for numerous major campaigns, such as Clinton-Gore, Kerry-Edwards and Obama-Biden.
