WASHINGTON, D.C.-Today, Congressman Pat Harrigan (NC-10) voted in favor of H.R. 8646, the Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agency Appropriations Act of 2027, legislation providing full-year funding for agricultural programs, rural communities, food safety, and nutrition assistance for fiscal year 2027.
"North Carolina is one of the top agricultural states in the country, and the poultry farmers, hog producers, and growers across our district do not have the luxury of waiting on Washington to get its act together," said Congressman Harrigan. "This bill funds the crop insurance, farm loans, rural infrastructure, and food safety programs that keep North Carolina's agricultural economy competitive, and I was proud to cast this vote for the farmers and rural families who keep this country fed."
