Community State Bank Named Experience Burlington Platinum Sponsor

partnership supports Long-Term Commitment, vision in Burlington

BURLINGTON - Further cementing its commitment to Burlington, Community State Bank is proud to announce a multi-year sponsorship with Experience Burlington.

"Community State Bank has been an exceptional partner to Experience Burlington and a tremendous supporter of our organization and the greater Burlington community," Experience Burlington President Karl McKillip said.

"Their commitment goes well beyond financial sponsorship - they consistently demonstrate a genuine desire to invest in the businesses, people, and organizations that make our community stronger."

The partnership arrives at an exciting time for Community State Bank. CSB is nearing completion of its year-long expansion project, aimed at turning the corner of Bridge Street and Jefferson Street into a community gathering hub along the scenic Fox River.

The expansion allows the bank to occupy the entire commercial property, located at 308 Bridge Street. Plans include renovating the interior and exterior and constructing a community room open to the public.

The entire project is expected to be complete in 2027.

The expansion and local sponsorship shows an investment in the community and support of the overall mission of Experience Burlington, according to McKillip.

"Partnerships like this allow our organization to continue bringing businesses together, recognizing community leaders, and creating opportunity that support the long-term success of Burlington and the surrounding area," McKillip said.

Community State Bank is a Platinum Plus Partner with Experience Burlington, the highest level of sponsorship offered. Additionally, CSB serves as the sole sponsor of Experience Burlington's annual Awards Luncheon.

"Our additional investment in our partnership with Experience Burlington is just another example of our commitment to the community and its businesses," CSB VP | Market President Dave Schalk said. "It provides a way to give back to the community in a broad way, helping people we otherwise wouldn't have reached."

Longtime community banker Barb Bakshis joined Community State Bank as Senior VP | Business Banking last fall. The Burlington resident witnessed firsthand Community State Bank's dedication and commitment right in her own backyard.

"When you drive through a community, you can feel there's something there by the way a community is put together," Bakshis said.

"Community State Bank is committed to serving the people who live, work and do business in our corner of Wisconsin."

Founded in 1898, Community State Bank has seven locations throughout Kenosha, Racine and Walworth counties. It's headquartered in Union Grove.

"While we continue to learn from our long history, our focus remains on the future," Community State Bank CEO Scott Huedepohl said.

"Our commitment to growing markets like Burlington, and the hard-working people who live there, can only help continue our success for another 128 years."
