Join RPD at National Night Out Events Around Raleigh on Aug. 5

The Raleigh Police Department will host several National Night Out events on Tuesday, Aug. 5. This nationwide event brings communities together to promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.

Each year, National Night Out offers families, residents, and local organizations the opportunity to meet Raleigh police officers in a positive and engaging setting. This year's celebration will include block parties, cookouts, safety demonstrations, games, and visits from RPD officers and special units.

"National Night Out allows us to connect with the community beyond emergency calls," said Chief Rico Boyce. "It's a chance for us to strengthen relationships, listen, and stand together to build safer neighborhoods."

The Raleigh Police Department encourages neighborhoods throughout the city to register their events and get involved. Whether it's a backyard gathering or a large community festival, every event plays a role in uniting Raleigh under the shared goal of public safety and trust.

Let's unite, Raleigh - because building safer communities starts with strong connections.
