The City of Morro Bay has contracted with Precision Concrete Cutting to identify and eliminate sidewalk tripping hazards by cutting them off at a gradual angle.

Where:

Improvement areas are City-wide beginning in the north west city limit from Main Street and working east through the city. See map of streets to be worked on.

When (excluding Holidays & Weekends):

Work will start on the week of September 22, 2025 and continue within the affected areas for several weeks. This is a mobile operation so it will cover the complete area along the affected sidewalks and walkways.

What to expect:

• Work Hours are typically Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM unless otherwise requested.

• Some dust and noise during the cutting operation. Efforts are made to minimize and contain the dust as much as possible. When crews are in front of your residence or in the path of travel, please close your doors and/windows or walk clear of the work marked by caution cones. Park cars in driveways, garages, and off the street where work is underway.

• Possibly No Parking signs or coned off areas.

Why is the City of Morro Bay doing this work at this time?

• The City of Morro Bay is conducting this work as part of a sidewalk maintenance and rehabilitation program to improve and maintain the quality of the city's infrastructure and to provide a safe area for residents and customers to walk. We appreciate your cooperation during this process.
