On behalf of the United States of America, I congratulate the people of Zambia as you mark the 61st anniversary of independence on October 24.
The United States seeks to support the realization of Zambia's tremendous potential. Building on the long-standing partnership between the United States and Zambia, we are eager to support reforms that will unleash growth and job creation, particularly in the critical minerals, agriculture, and energy sectors. Together, we can make both our nations more prosperous and secure.
Congratulations to all Zambians on this important and joyous day.
