WASHINGTON, DC - On the second anniversary of Hamas' brutal October 7 attack on Israel, Congressman Jared Moskowitz (D-FL-23) today announced that he has signed onto a bipartisan package of legislation to help remember the day.
The Moskowitz-backed package includes three bipartisan bills:
"Two years ago, the world watched in horror as innocent lives were taken and families were torn apart by Hamas's unspeakable attack on Israel. We can never forget what happened that day," said Congressman Moskowitz. "I'm proud to stand with my colleagues in support of these bipartisan bills that will help us remember October 7, honor victims of this attack, and educate our next generation about the scourge of antisemitism. October 7, 2023, was the single deadliest day for the Jewish community since the Holocaust, and we have to make clear that it can never happen again."
Moskowitz is a senior member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, where he leads its Subcommittee on Oversight & Intelligence as Ranking Member, and was recently appointed to the House-Knesset Parliamentary Group to strengthen the US-Israel alliance. He has been an outspoken voice boosting U.S. allies Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan and standing up to foreign adversaries like Russia, Iran, and China.
