NEW BRUNSWICK, (July 17, 2025) - Construction has begun on the future 370,000-square-foot home of Nokia Bell Labs, situated directly across from the New Brunswick Train Station. Crews are currently drilling, sinking, and filling large, pillar-like caissons that will form the foundation for the "H-2 site" of the larger HELIX NJ project.
Nokia is expected to relocate approximately 1,000 employees from its Murray Hill campus to the new, 10-story facility in New Brunswick, set to be completed by late 2027.
To facilitate the construction of H-2, Spring Street has been closed to traffic and is expected to remain so for about a year. This development marks the start of the second phase of the HELIX NJ Innovation District, as work on the first phase continues and plans for the third and final phase are already underway. SJP Properties is the site developer.
