Residential Life and the Commonwealth Honors College have announced that Eve Weinbaum, professor of sociology and labor studies, has been selected to serve as Faculty-in-Residence in the Commonwealth Honors Residential Community for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Weinbaum will join senior lecturer Madalina Akli, who will return for a third year as Faculty-in-Residence.

The Faculty in Residence program seeks faculty members who have interest in and ability to relate well with students and possess an abiding interest in their academic and personal learning. FIRs serve as positive and visible mentors to undergraduate students living in the residential community, facilitate student intellectual development and provide support to students in achieving their academic goals.
