IMMEDIATE RELEASE March 19, 2026 Gabe Vasquez now prioritizes criminal illegals who assault (and kill) federal police dogs: Albuquerque, NM - Once again, Gabe Vasquez cast a vote that prioritized illegal immigrants over public safety. Only this time, he opposed legislation that would impose penalties on violent criminal illegal immigrants who harm or kill federal working dogs. These dogs play a critical role in law enforcement by tracking suspects, detecting explosives, and protecting officers in high-risk situations. When they are injured, it happens in the line of duty while safeguarding American lives. Despite this, Vasquez chose not to support measures protecting these animals and the officers who rely on them, instead siding with individuals who commit such violent acts.
