As the Director of Student Life, I spend much of the summer planning one of my favorite times of the year, welcoming our newest Tornados to campus. Week of Welcome is designed to help you build friendships, explore campus, and discover everything CTX and the Austin community have to offer.
We're kicking off the semester with one of our biggest events of the year! The Welcome Party is your opportunity to meet fellow students while connecting with local businesses, nonprofits, and community partners. You'll leave with free swag, exclusive discounts, campus resources, and plenty of new connections.
Throughout the week, you'll also have opportunities to enjoy:
We're bringing back one of our most anticipated traditions, time to hit the water! Space is limited to 50 students and registration fills quickly, so be sure to reserve your spot early through Campus Groups.
Once classes are underway, we'll keep the momentum going with Woosh Week during the second week of the semester. Woosh Week features another lineup of events and activities designed to help you continue building friendships, get involved on campus, and stay connected as you settle into college life. Whether you're looking to meet new people, take a break between classes, or simply have fun, there's something for everyone.
All Week of Welcome and Woosh Week events, along with any required registrations, will be available through Campus Groups. Be sure to log in early and claim your spot for events with limited capacity.
We can't wait to welcome you to campus and help you make the most of your first weeks at CTX. Here's to new friendships, new experiences, and an unforgettable start to the semester. Welcome to the Tornado family!
