Taipei, January 15, 2025 - Taiwan Rakuten Card, Inc., a subsidiary of Rakuten Card Co., Ltd., today announced the launch of the Rakuten Panda J Card, the leading credit card in Taiwan for travel and daily life. Featuring the Rakuten Group's beloved Rakuten Panda mascot and backed by JCB's extensive global network, the credit card offers significant benefits for both domestic use and international travel, making it the top choice for Taiwanese consumers seeking value and convenience in both their daily life and travel.

With the Rakuten Panda J Card, cardholders can earn up to 3% cashback on domestic purchases and 5% cashback for transactions in Japan, South Korea and Thailand. Additional rewards are available through partnerships with major airlines, mobile wallets, gas stations and travel agencies in Taiwan, enhancing the card's value for daily use and travel-related spending.

To celebrate the launch of the new Rakuten Panda J Card, Taiwan Rakuten Card is offering a special promotion. New cardholders who spend over 3,999 NTD within 45 days of receiving their card can choose to receive either exclusive panda-themed travel accessories, including a travel pouch, travel belt and luggage tag, or a cash rebate of 500 NTD. Existing cardholders who apply for Rakuten Panda J Card as their second Taiwan Rakuten Card and spend over 999 NTD within 45 days will receive 100 NTD.

The Rakuten Panda J Card has an annual fee of 2,000 NTD for the primary cardholder, while supplementary cards are available at no additional charge. Customers who opt for e-statement will have their first year's annual fee waived. To waive the fee for the second year, cardholders simply need to continue e-statment and make at least 12 transactions within the year.
