Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi paid a visit to the Ministry of Railways today, where he was warmly received by Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi. An important meeting was held between the two ministers to discuss matters related to Pakistan Railways, ongoing reforms, and the future course of action.

During the meeting, Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi briefed the Interior Minister on the revolutionary reforms and major improvements introduced in Pakistan Railways during 2025. The briefing covered modernization of the railway system, enhancement of train operations, increase in revenue, and initiatives aimed at providing better, safer, and more comfortable facilities to passengers.

Both ministers held detailed discussions on strengthening railway security, improving operational efficiency, and implementing institutional reforms. They agreed to enhance close coordination and mutual cooperation between the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Railways to make Pakistan Railways a strong, modern, and people-friendly institution.

Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi appreciated the reform measures being undertaken in Pakistan Railways under the leadership of Muhammad Hanif Abbasi and said that these efforts are steering the organization towards rapid progress and will significantly contribute to the national economy and public convenience. He assured full support from the Ministry of Interior in making the railway system more secure and modern.

Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, on the occasion, said that the Government of Pakistan is fully committed to aligning Pakistan Railways with modern requirements, providing improved travel facilities to passengers, and ensuring the financial sustainability of the organization. He added that close inter-ministerial cooperation would further strengthen the reform process.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both ministers reaffirmed their strong resolve to further improve and modernize Pakistan Railways in the coming year by expanding the scope of reforms, enhancing operational efficiency, and providing even safer, more comfortable, and more reliable services to passengers. They expressed confidence that the next year would mark a new chapter of progress and development for Pakistan Railways.
