ApolloMD Welcomes Incoming 2026 Emergency Medicine Administrative Fellows

June 23, 2026 - ATLANTA, GA - ApolloMD is pleased to welcome Nishat Gogna, DO and Eun Sung "Kevin" Kim, MD as the newest physicians selected for the Emergency Medicine Administrative Fellowship program.

This 24-month Emergency Medicine Administrative Fellowship is designed to develop the next generation of emergency medicine leaders by providing physicians with hands-on experience in healthcare operations, physician leadership, quality improvement, and emergency department management. Fellows continue to practice clinically within Wellstar Health System while gaining executive exposure to hospital operations and leadership development. The program also includes formal business education, with fellows pursuing a fully funded MBA as part of their leadership training.

Originally from the Atlanta area, Dr. Gogna completed medical school before pursuing Emergency Medicine residency training at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida, a large high-volume academic Level I trauma center. During residency, he developed a strong interest in healthcare operations, emergency department throughput, workflow optimization, and physician leadership, with a particular focus on how emerging technologies and artificial intelligence can improve patient care and operational efficiency.

Before pursuing medicine, Dr. Gogna spent nearly a decade working in theatrical and commercial media production, an experience that helped shape his interest in innovation, communication, and systems improvement within healthcare. As part of the fellowship, Dr. Gogna will also pursue his MBA through the Georgia Institute of Technology, further strengthening his foundation in healthcare leadership, operations, and innovation.

Dr. Kim was raised in the Bay Area of California and attended the University of California, Berkeley, before completing medical school through the UQ-Ochsner program. He completed his Emergency Medicine residency at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, where training in a high-volume Level I trauma center strengthened his interest in healthcare operations, physician leadership, and systems-based approaches to patient care.

Throughout residency, Dr. Kim developed a strong interest in the intersection of medicine, healthcare operations, and emerging technology, particularly the role of innovation and artificial intelligence in improving efficiency, patient outcomes, and the physician experience. During the fellowship, Dr. Kim will also pursue his MBA at Emory University, further developing the business and leadership skills necessary to drive innovation and operational excellence in healthcare.
