Julie Brooks Named October Colleague of the Month at Taylorville Memorial Hospital

Julie Brooks, executive secretary in Administration Operations at Taylorville Memorial Hospital, has been named the nonprofit hospital's October Colleague of the Month.

Brooks, who joined Taylorville Memorial Hospital in May 2024, was recognized for supporting colleagues across a wide range of responsibilities. Her work includes navigating invoice platforms, researching solutions to challenges that extend beyond her defined role and even coordinating retirement celebrations.

Her nominator said Brooks takes initiative to connect with others and help keep work moving, while maintaining a positive and professional approach. She also checks in with colleagues and makes sure they have the support they need, even when managing a demanding workload of her own.

"Julie is truly the glue that holds our team together," wrote the nominator. "Her thoughtfulness and dedication do not go unnoticed."

The Colleague of the Month award recognizes Memorial Health team members who exemplify the organization's mission, vision and values through exceptional service, collaboration and commitment to patients, colleagues and the communities they serve.
