UL Solutions Warns of Unauthorized UL Marks on Carbon Monoxide Alarms and Combined Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarms

NORTHBROOK, Ill. - Dec. 9, 2025 - UL Solutions (NYSE: ULS), a global leader in applied safety science, issued a public notice regarding two alarm products, the Gedsffati carbon monoxide alarm (product model HD08) and Gedsffati combined smoke and carbon monoxide alarm (product model HD11), which bear unauthorized UL certification marks and may pose safety risks.

These products, sold under the brand name Gedsffati through Amazon.com, have not been evaluated by UL Solutions to the appropriate safety standards, and it is unknown whether they meet any safety requirements. UL Solutions recommends that these products be removed from service and immediately replaced with properly UL certified carbon monoxide alarms and combined smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.

The affected products bear an unauthorized UL certification mark and the following on the product labels:

  • Power Supply: AC 100-240V/50-60Hz or Built-in Lithium Battery
  • Battery Capacity: 2000mAh (3.7V, 7.4Wh)
  • Working Voltage & Current: 5V, 1A Max
  • Manufacturer: Shenzhen Huidu Technology Co. Ltd.

"The presence of unauthorized UL Marks on these devices is a serious concern," said Karine Johnfroe, vice president and general manager of the Built Environment group at UL Solutions. "We urge anyone who has purchased these devices to remove them from service and immediately replace them with properly UL certified carbon monoxide alarms and combined smoke and carbon monoxide alarms."
