Eye on UMSL: Frozen fun

Students in the Bridge Program's Middle School Summer Academy had a chance to make their ice cream while experimenting with liquid nitrogen.

A group of eighth graders in the Bridge Program's Middle School Summer Academy made ice cream while using liquid nitrogen last month in a science class led by teacher Centennial Day (second from right) in the Science Learning Building at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

The Middle School Summer Academy, held from mid June to mid July, offered offers academic enrichment courses in mathematics, science, written and oral communication, career research, personal and professional development and activities that support college planning.
