House Blue-Ribbon Study Committee on Transportation Infrastructure and Vehicle Regulation to Hold Meetings in Jefferson and Cumming
ATLANTA - The House Blue-Ribbon Study Committee on Transportation Infrastructure and Vehicle Regulation, chaired by State Representative Rick Jasperse (R-Jasper), will hold two consecutive meetings. The first will take place on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 1 p.m. at Jackson EMC in Jefferson, Ga., followed by a second meeting on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 10 a.m. at the Forsyth County Arts and Learning Center in Cumming, Ga.
During the August 20 meeting in Jefferson, study committee members will discuss House Resolution 1475, sponsored by State Representative Matt Dubnik (R-Gainesville) during the 2026 legislative session. During the August 21 meeting in Cumming, members will discuss House Resolution 1894, sponsored by Chairman Jasperse during the 2026 legislative session, take a deeper look at road construction costs and hear from a variety of speakers.
The House Blue-Ribbon Study Committee on Transportation Infrastructure and Vehicle Regulation will evaluate Georgia's transportation networks and regulations to improve efficiency, streamline utility right-of-way coordination, control costs and strengthen safety statewide.
